Viessmann is the world's largest manufacturer of boiler and auxiliary equipment. In 1917, the official opening of the company took place in the village of Allendorf, where the main production and implementation of new developments remain. The founder of the company is Johan Viessmann, who initially worked as a repairman. The first boiler Johan made at the request of his friend. The first boilers were produced exclusively in cast iron, sectional design. He was the first to use steel pipes in the construction of boilers, which naturally reduced fuel consumption and increased the maximum allowable operating pressure of the installation, and was the first to use electric arc welding in the manufacture of boilers. Already in 1937, thirty people worked at the enterprise. During the Second World War, the plant worked and implemented new projects.
After the end of the war and returning home, the son of Hans Viessmann also actively participated in the development of his father's enterprise, proposed and implemented his own projects. In 1947, more than a hundred employees worked at the enterprise. Since the 1950s, heating technology has played a significant role in medium and large enterprises requiring thermal energy for their own production. At the same time, high power and minimal fuel consumption costs are required, Wiesman did an excellent job with the task. The first double-circuit boilers, boilers operating on various types of fuel, condensing boilers appear. Viessmann today. The third in a generation, the main head of the company is Dr. Martin Wiessmann.
Today, the company is developing rapidly every year, the company's annual turnover is about 1.8 billion euros, the number of employees worldwide is about 9,000 people. Wismann has 16 factories in Germany, Canada, France, Hungary, Poland, China, Austria and Switzerland. The power of the produced heating equipment is from 1.5 to 20,000 kW - these are steam boilers, hot water boilers, heat exchangers, cogeneration plants, storage water heaters. Boilers operate on all major types of fuel, condensing or low temperature. The company actively develops and produces heating equipment powered by renewable energy sources: solar collectors, heat pumps, solid fuel boilers. Receiving thermal energy from the earth, water, air, sun and wood.
